I am a graduate student at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. Currently, I am working toward a master's in English, with an empahsis on Rhetoric, Composition, and the Teaching of English. My current research interests include the use of technology and new media in English classes, writing center and tutoring pedagogy, journal writing in the English class, and the application of multiple literacies in composition, specifically rural and home literacies.

In addition to my studies, I teach English 101 and English 102 as a Graduate Assistant Teacher. As an English instructor, I plan, teach, and grade the work of fifty first-year composition students. In the summer, I work as a student writer and editor for the Information Resource Management - Communication Arts and Services group at Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, New Mexico.

In 2010, I graduated from Washington State University in Pullman, Washington, with a double degree in English, with an emphasis on Rhetoric and Professional Writing, and in Digital Technology and Culture, with an emphasis on Multimedia Authoring; I also minored in Spanish.

While at WSU, I interned at the Washington State University Undergraduate Writing Center, working as an administrative tutor. Also, I was a student intern at the Washington State Magazine, working on web and print material. I also competed for the WSU Cross Country and Track teams.
